Upcoming Pay What You Can Sessions

January 20, 2014 by The Spa Room

We are excited to announce the launch of our Incubator Program and the addition of three new members to The Spa Room team!

Our incubator team is comprised of both Somatics and massage practitioners that are exploring a new dimension to their practice. They are fully licensed and skilled, and are dedicated to honing their skills in a community of more senior practitioners.

Everyone in the incubator team has undergone their Spa Room training, and now they are ready for their very first Spa Room clients!

Please accept our invitation to schedule appointments with our incubator team on the following dates at the Pay What You Can rates. All we ask in return is that you fill out a short feedback form, the link to which can be found in your emailed receipt after your session.

Click on any link, or  call or email the spa to schedule.  Be sure to mention the code PWYCincubator when you book your appointment!

50 minute Swedish or Therapeutic massage with Jennifer Boursiquot: January 23 & 30 – 2:30pm

50 minute Swedish or Therapeutic massage with Jewel Harris: January 24 & 31 – 2:30pm

50 minute Functional Integration session with Susanne Christov: January 21 – 9am, January 22 – 2pm

New to our PWYC sessions?  Here’s what you’ll need to know:

Your credit card will still be used to secure the appointment, and no-shows will be charged the full treatment price, per our standard cancellation policy ($75 for massage, $110 for Feldenkrais).  Besides, standing up your massage therapist gives you bad karma!

At checkout, simply let your massage therapist know how much to charge your card, or pay in cash–no questions asked!

Wondering how much you should pay?  Here are our thoughts:

  • If you’re a starving artist or student living off ramen, pay what’s in your pocket.
  • If you’re reasonably well employed, pay 50-75% of the treatment cost.
  • If you’re actively–and comfortably–saving for retirement, consider why you’re participating in a Pay What You Can program and whether it might be nicer to save these sessions for someone who really can’t afford to pay full price.
