Psychodrama—”the theater for spontaneity”—is an embodied therapeutic and educational practice, founded on the ideas that people are inherently creative and that intentional, creative action is healthy. Yet many of us have difficulty accessing our creativity. This group, facilitated by Thomas Northrup, will support participants’ access to their intentional creativity. We will use psychodramatic activities to build community and identify the creative blocks group members face; and we will use role play to practice strengths to overcoming these blocks, befriend our own sources of spontaneity, and develop self-compassion.
